EAU Opening Ceremony and Welcome Cocktail
During the Opening Ceremony honouring awards will be presented and the tone will be set for the 5-day congress. The Ceremony will be closed with a spectacular show and the following Welcome Cocktail will enable you to meet with old and new acquaintances and friends.

Hospital visits in three Viennese hospitals

Every year the EAUN organises the popular Hospital visits. This year the visits are organised before the meeting starts on Friday, and in three different hospitals to offer more delegates the opportunity to attend a hospital visit.

Location 1	:	University Hospital Vienna
Description	:	Visit to the urological wards and outpatient clinic and ESWL unit.
Combined with	:	Visit to the Josephinum Museum
Time	:	9.00 – 13.30 hrs.
Time of departure	:	8.00, from the main entrance of the Austria Center Vienna
Transport	:	bus
Accessible for	:	Nurse participants. Limited places are available. Registration through the online system. Only participants with a registration for this visit on their entitlement list will be allowed.

Description	:	Information about nursing and visit of a ward
Time	:	9.00 – 11.00 or 11.00 – 13.00 hrs.

Description	:	Visit of the stone centre, two differerent ESWL machines, out- and inpatient care and arganisation.

Nurses Welcome Reception

The welcome reception is a yearly event arranged for the participants of the 12th International EAUN Meeting to meet up with colleagues and friends.

Heurigen – Nurses evening in a Viennese wine tavern

Vienna is the only capital city in the world with an appreciable wine-growing industry. In the relaxed, informal atmosphere of one of the countless "heuriger" wine taverns on the outskirts of the city and some of the best in the Grinzing district, you and your colleagues can enjoy a glass of Riesling, Veltliner, or typical locally blended wine, a traditional country style buffet and typical “Schrammermusic” played by local musicians in authentic dress. You can recognise a genuine Viennese heuriger by a sprig of pine hanging outside together with an 'Ausg'steckt' sign: it is only here that you will find genuine proprietary Viennese wines.

This evening is organised especially for the delegates of the 12^thInternational EAUN Meeting and accompanying persons.

Urowalk

Guided tour in the city centre of Vienna.

Route: Interesting sites such as the St. Stephens Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, Heldenplatz („Heroes‘ Square“), Schweizertor (Swiss Gate) and Emperor Franz I. Memorial at the Hofburg Palace, Michaelertor, Capuchin Church and Entrance to Imperial Burial Vault, Memorial against war and fascism by Alfred Hrdlicka, Albertina, Vienna State Opera will be visited in a 1.5-hour walk with a guide in the city centre of Vienna.

EAU Evening, A Viennese Ball
Known simply as "The Palace" among the Viennese, the Imperial Palace "Hofburg", was the residence of the Habsburg emperors until 1918. Originally it was a medieval castle and only the palace chapel has survived to this day. The residence of the court expanded and became more lavish as the power and territories of the Habsburgs increased.

Tonight "The Palace" will be the location for a splendid Viennese ball! You will enjoy performances by members of the Viennese State Opera ballet. Different rooms will offer various dinner buffets and dancing to the orchestra can be enjoyed late into the evening!
