Vienna is one of Europe’s most popular destinations and its excellent infrastructure makes travelling and staying in the city easy and enjoyable.

Star Alliance – Official Airline Network

The Annual 26th  EAU Congress is working with Star Alliance as its official travelling network.

Official Accommodation Agency

The EAU Annual 26th Congress has appointed K.I.T. Group GmbH as the official housing agent. Their services will enable you to arrange your accommodation in Vienna in several quick steps.

The agent works with more than 80 hotels of various budget ranges and locations.

There event-oriented approach will enable you to choose the best hotel to meet your needs during the congress days. Each hotel description includes distance to the venue.

Getting to Vienna

By Air
Through Vienna: Vienna International Airport  is located 16 km east of Vienna city centre. Presently, around 65 airlines offer more than 400 flights per week to 40 destinations in Eastern Europe and another 130 destinations to all metropolises in Western Europe, Asia, Australia and USA. The City Airport Train (CAT)  takes passengers non-stop from the airport to the City Centre in only 16 minutes.

There is an airport shuttle bus from the metro station next to the congress venue. It runs every hour from 06.10 am to 7.10 pm. It takes 30 minutes from this bus stop to Airport Vienna Schwechat.

Through Bratislava: The M.R.Stefanik Airport Bratislava is the principal international airport of Slovakia, with only a short 60 km distance to Vienna. Numerous trains and buses run daily between Vienna city and Bratislava Airport. The transfer time lies between 75 and 120 minutes depending on traffic.

By Car
Austria’s expressway network extends right into Vienna, making it convenient and safe to reach the city by car or motor coach from anywhere on the European continent.

By Train
Vienna occupies a hub position in Europe‘s international rail network. Intercity and international express trains connect the capital with all parts of Austria and with all major cities in Europe.

There are two main train-stations in Vienna - Wien – West and Wien – Süd; both are located nearby the city centre and all major hotels are located within easy reach.

Getting Around in Vienna

Free Transportation Pass
Congress delegates may collect a transportation pass in the registration area which is valid for 5 days. The pass covers the underground, the tram and the bus within the city limits of Vienna (zone 100).

Delegates are kindly requested to return unused passes to the special boxes which are located in the registration area. They will be donated to a local charity.
