More than 13,000 people visited the 26th Annual EAU Congress last month, including 10,436 delegates and 2,161 participants. Urology professionals from more than 70 countries joined us in Vienna and more than 20,000 visitors followed the congress online.
M.T. Filocamo and colleagues conducted a multi-centre study which evaluated sexual activity in a group of women with urodynamic stress incontinence (USI) before and after a Mid-Urethral Sling (MUS) procedure.
They presented their findings during the poster session on functional urology held at the recently concluded 26th Annual EAU Congress in Vienna, Austria.
At the final plenary session of the 26th Annual EAU Congress, three experts took clear standpoints to defend their preferred approach to the treatment of renal cancer, and particularly nephron-sparing surgery. Prof. Hein Van Poppel (Belgium), Dr. Herve Baumert (France) and Prof. Michael Stöckle (Germany), under the moderation of Prof. Haluk Özen (Turkey) presented pointed arguments for open, laparoscopic and robot-assisted surgery respectively.
Monday proved to be another full day for the European Association of Urology Nurses, whose 12th International Meeting is running concurrently with the EAU Congress. Lectures, symposia and workshops specifically geared to nurses took place in a day-long programme that also featured the EAUN General Assembly.
