However, Apple wants you to continue buying the old M1 model which will soon be replaced.
While there may not be any obvious consumer discounts, those looking for a better deal on Apple’s website know to head to the revamped section of the store (although you might be quicker with a search engine for the link, Apple Don’t (it’s easy to spot in the UI) Here you’ll find the same larger MacBook Pro models with discounts of up to twenty percent.
Since refurbished MacBooks are typically 10% off (all covered by the same warranty and AppleCare options as a new machine), this is an additional discount for consumers at the looking for larger MacBook Pro laptops.
Apple’s mystery extends to its prices, and browsing the Apple Store seems very uncommon. But just below the surface, Tim Cook and his team are quietly offering more discounts to boost MacBook sales in the final quarter of the year. In other years, this would be the role of the new edition; With the delays to the M2 Pro and M2 Max variants of the MacBook Pro, Apple decided to dive even deeper into the brave new realm of discounts.
