John Hyman reported Tuesday that the Toronto Blue Jays are among teams interested in signing quarterback Cody Bellinger.

Bellinger is reportedly seeking a one-year deal worth around $20 million in hopes of reviving his career.

Don Mattingly was the Blue Jays’ new bench coach with the Dodgers when Bellinger was in the minors.

Hyman said the Dodgers showed interest in Bellinger after not making him an offer, but it was unlikely that he would reunite.

Bellinger, 27, spent his six-year career with the Dodgers.

He was named the National League Most Valuable Player in 2017, the NLCS Player of the Year in 2018, and the NL Player of the Year in 2019.

210 with 19 homers and 68 RBI in 144 games in 2022.

According to ESPN MLB Insider Buster Olney, the Blue Jays have also taken a serious interest in free pitcher Andrew Heene who also spent the past season with the Dodgers.
