The index takes into account the number of hashtags on Instagram, total search volume, the number of Christmas markets, and the average number of snowy days in December to reveal which cities are the ultimate winter wonderland.

In December in Mulhouse, it snows on average for 6 days. Thus the city offers a setting worthy of the greatest Christmas movies. Located just a few kilometers from the German border, Mulhouse is transformed during the Christmas season. Many lightings and decorations are installed in the busiest streets.
