The French Football Federation intends to file a complaint against social media users for racist and hateful comments towards players after the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

French Gender Equality Minister Isabella Roma said Kylian Mbappe and Kingsley Coman were among players who received “unacceptable” comments on social media, according to a report by ESPN.

The BBC said on Monday that Aurelien Tchoamene was also the target of abuse after losing the World Cup. Mbappe, Koeman and Tchoameni are all black.
