Asus’ ROG Strix G17 2023 gaming laptops are launching with updated components such as the latest AMD Zen 4 mobile processors, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4000 mobile GPUs, and upgraded displays.
This year’s Strix G17 models can be powered by a Ryzen 9 7945HX processor with 16 cores/32 threads, 55+W TDP, and integrated RDNA 3 iGPUs. Maximum RAM capacity is set at 32GB DDR5-4800 and PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage can be expanded up to 2TB. On the discrete graphics side, the latest Strix G17 can house up to an Nvidia RTX 4070 dGPU laptop with 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a maximum of 140 W TGP (Dynamic Boost Mode). The CPU cooling system features liquid metal and new Arc Flow fans, while the dGPU comes with a MUX switch and advanced Optimus support.
For the more expensive versions, Asus offers a 17.3-inch 1440p IPS display with a 240Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, 100% DCI-P3, G-SYNC and Dolby color gamut. Vision. There is also a 1080p IPS display option with 144Hz refresh rate and G-SYNC.
