We understand that Yahoo Fantasy Football officials are awaiting news regarding the postponed Week 17 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Tickets. Our main concern is destroying Hamlin’s viability at this time. Our thoughts are with Damar, his family and the Buffalo Bills. These are unprecedented circumstances, so we wanted to provide as much clarity as possible pending the NFL’s final decision on the game.

Here’s what you need to know If you are in a single season fantasy league with active playoffs

• The Week 17 standings will be updated at this time, but score updates will apply once the NFL decides the Bills-Bengals game status. Waivers will be processed as normal for leagues playing in Week 18.

• Yahoo is honoring the official NFL Gamebook Week 17 by updating our game’s fantasy stats and scores to match the official record.

• If official NFL scoring changes affect the outcome of a Week 17 game, we will retroactively adjust the Week 18 games to reflect the change.

• Payments from private and public leagues will not be processed until a final decision is made by the NFL on the status of the Bills-Bengals game.

• League commissioners can make manual changes through the authorization tools, but we encourage commissioners to wait for the NFL to make a final state-of-the-game decision.

• If your league has active qualifiers in Week 18, you should set your roster as normal.

The Bills-Bengals Week 17 game is currently on hold. As such, all accumulated stats stand as they stand at this time (according to the NFL’s official playbook).

IF THE BILLS-BENGALS GAME CANCELS

• If the game is declared final by the NFL and scored as a holder (meaning the score is over 7-3), all fantasy points remain the same.

• If the game is canceled and the stats are disqualified by the NFL, all Fantasy Points accumulated in the Bills-Bengals game will be disqualified to reflect the official record.

Reclassification in the past weeks is not something we take lightly, these are truly unprecedented circumstances. However, we want to ensure a fair result for all the matches involved. We hope we never have to implement re-recording of results from previous weeks in the future.

Waivers will be processed as normal for leagues playing in Week 18.
