LAS VEGAS, January 6, 2023 – Eric Fountain, COO of SoftwareRepublic and Valérie Bigris, President of L-de-France (France) Region, have officially launched SoftwareRepublic’s sixth challenge, “IA for Urban Mobility”. CES (Consumer Electronics Show), is one of the most important exhibitions dedicated to technological innovation.

Challenge “AI for Urban Mobility”

This call for projects is aimed at researchers, innovators, start-ups and those who know how to manipulate data and want to improve urban and urban mobility. in the Ile-de-France region.

The goal is to imagine an innovative AI mobility solution around the light vehicle by offering:

• Solutions that ease the transition from public transit to electric light vehicles and the passenger travel experience.
• New car sharing services.
• Services to improve and facilitate the use of charging stations/electrical infrastructure.
• Solutions for organizing last mile logistics.
• More generally, any service that facilitates the use of clean mobility solutions around vehicles and public transportation.

“Movement by the People” initiative

The plan should be based on the following assets:

• The information comes from the future “Duo” and “Bento” light vehicles developed by Mobilize, the Renault Group brand dedicated to new forms of mobility. The Duo and Bento are 100% electric and ultra-compact designed for the combined mobility of people and goods in urban areas.
• Aggregated and anonymised data from all vehicles connected to Groupe Renault.

A grant of up to 500,000 euros from the Ile-de-France region

A jury of six Software République partners and members of the Ile-de-France region will select innovative solutions that are applicable to the Ile-de-France region. Committed to sustainable mobility, the Ile-de-France region doubles the investment proposed by the grant winner, up to €500,000. International startups with a project to be established in Ile-de-France will also be awarded the Challenge Prize.
