Arina Sabalenka, 24, says she’s more mature now and has a slightly different perspective and gameplay. In the past, Sabalenka easily got angry and frustrated. But at the start of the 2023 season, Sabalenka appears to be adopting a calmer approach and now seems to know how to accept that not everything will always be perfect and perfect on the field.
After beating Irina Begu 6-3 6-2 to reach the final of the Adelaide International in her first tournament of the season, Sabalenka revealed one of the keys to her strong start to the year. “Before, I was really crazy about everything.

Sabalenca Bego spent
With high-profile wins over Lyudmila Samsonova and Marka Vondrousova, Sabalenka also got the job done against Peugeot.
The first break points of the match were seen in the fourth match, when Sabalenka missed three consecutive break points as Begu tied the game in the first set at two games apiece. However, missing three break points did not affect Sabalenka, who broke Bego in the sixth game to take a 4-2 lead.
Sabalenka then saved three consecutive break points in the seventh inning, before hitting her home opener in the ninth inning. After winning the first set, Sabalenka also crushed Begu in the first game of the second set.
In the seventh game, Sabalenka again broke Bego to take a 5-2 lead. With one set and two rests, Sabalenka served consistently in Game 8 playoffs.
