Los Angeles Chargers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars 1/14/23

On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Chargers travel to TIAA Bank Field to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. The fifth-ranked Chargers (10-7) are eighth in the league in total offense, scoring 23 points per game. Los Angeles coach Brandon Staley came under fire Sunday for being involved in too many games in a meaningless 31-28 road loss to Denver.

Los Angeles QB Justin Herbet completed 25 passes for 37 for 273 yards and two touchdowns to Kenan Allen. The Chargers converted 7-for-14 on third down and turned the ball over twice. Los Angeles dominated on the floor by a margin of 205-59.

The Jacksonville Jaguars started the season with a 2-6 record under first year head coach Doug Pederson and finished the regular season on a five-game winning streak to claim the Southern Division title. Trevor Lawrence’s second year in the pro season saw him grow under Pederson and he finished with 4,113 rushing yards. Saturday removed a six-point lead in the fourth quarter to win 20-16 at home over Tennessee.

LB Josh Allen scored the game-winning touchdown for Jacksonville on a 37-yard run with just under three minutes remaining. Christian Kirk shredded a Tennessee high school senior for 99 yards and 25 yards.
