Matt Neto And Ryan Merkel Shares of the San Jose Sharks traded on the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old has eight points (five goals and three assists) in 10 games with Colorado in the AHL this season.

McDonald has assisted two goals in 33 games this season. The 29-year-old scored 12 points (2 goals, 10 assists) in 76 NHL games with the Avalanche and Florida Panthers.

Colorado (26-17-3) has won six straight and is third in the eight-team Central Division. San Jose (14-25-10) is seventh in the eight-team Pacific Division.
