Developed by Element—the LINE Game development company—and Koei Games TecmoEt The Origin of Unknown Waters It is a nautical sandbox RPG where players can enjoy Commerce, Adventure and Battle content set in the 16th Century Age of Discovery and commemorating 30 years of Koei Tecmo’s legacy Uncharted Waters a series.
To provide players with a more immersive experience than ever before, The Origin of Unknown Waters It uses big real-world data like wind direction, currents, waves and their speed. Built with 4K graphics from Unreal Engine 4, the game features famous characters from world history and surrounding details in 2D artwork and 3D models.
Over 104 fully orchestrated tracks, including original YoKo Kanno tracks, add to the immersive experience. First released in South Korea, Uncharted Waters Origin won four awards at the Korea Game Awards 2022, including Grand Prize, Best Screenplay, and Sound category.
From today until February 20, interested players can pre-register The Origin of Unknown Waters on its main site. All pre-registered players will be rewarded with various items including ships, shipbuilding materials, and equipment that can help get started early.
