to update: Well, looks like we opened the doors! Ultra Dolphin Revolution has confirmed that they currently have no more codes, but never fear, the developer will try to get more to get you some big Wii U fans. (Thanks Sunsy for the tip!)

Original post: Ultra Dolphin Revolution, an indie developer that has created a number of games currently exclusive to the Wii U eShop, is giving away 128 downloadable codes of its latest Wii U title, Captain U.
Even though the Wii U shut down earlier this week, you can still redeem codes even for download April 3, around 9:30 a.m. PT. As a result, Ultra Dolphin Revolution decided to share their work with the world and distributed codes for Captain U on Twitter for Europe and North America.

It’s an incredible gesture, and yet another show of the community – both fans and developers – coming together to celebrate the Wii U and 3DS sharing the titles and memories that make these platforms unique.
Ultra Dolphin Revolution offers ten games on the Wii U eShop, some of which are upgraded versions of their previous releases. Many titles take inspiration from classic NES platformers, both in gameplay and visual style. Along with donating icons to their game, Ultra Dolphin Revolution also commissioned an amazing piece of artwork to celebrate their Wii U titles. The piece was drawn by the game’s artist and illustrator. Sapphire Wong It is nothing less than beautiful.
