The Yeedi Mop Station Pro is the most accurate robot vacuum/mop we’ve tested (and we’ve got the dirty water to prove it)

Let’s be honest: robotic mops often feel like a dream come true (never hang around a bucket of water again!) – but the reality rarely lives up to expectations. Some of your numerator defeats, or leave a wet trail of thin water wherever they go; Others barely clean tile spills, or so loud you can’t see TV or have a conversation while they’re in the same room.

Call us upset, but we were skeptical, so when we heard rave reviews about this Yeedi Pro Mop Station, Robotic Sweeper and Mop. But, after a few months of testing on tile, carpet and parquet, we can honestly say it lives up to the hype.

How does the Yeedi Mop Station Pro work?

Setup is as simple as plugging in the dock, scanning the QR code on the device, downloading the app, and following the instructions. The Mop Station Pro comes with two compartments that you can interchange: a cleaning tank and a sweeping bin. While the mop tank also has a small dustbin to catch crumbs – so they don’t get soaked and pushed onto the floor – if you’re vacuuming heavily, you’re better off swapping out the base.

During its initial run, it will map the house. Then you can use your phone to select the areas you want to clean, and even pinch and zoom to focus on a specific area, if you don’t want to sweep or vacuum the whole house.

What do you fill it with?

You don’t need a special mop cleaning solution; In fact, Yeedi recommends using only purified or undiluted water. (We tested it with a squirt of dish soap in a solution of clean water, although we didn’t notice any difference in our floors afterward. Too much additional product can leave a sticky film anyway, therefore it is best to avoid them.)

  • Two 3.5L tanks = you can perform multiple cleaning sessions without having to refill water. Another pain of the mops we tested is having to refill the water tank halfway through cleaning floors. Yedi cleaned the two-bedroom house three times before going through the clean water tank. (Also, having separate clean and dirty water tanks is a good idea to avoid cross-contamination.)

  • Yeedi air-drys its own wipes, so you don’t have to constantly clean them yourself. Or deal with smelly wipes – another issue we’ve had with other brands.

  • It’s relatively quiet. It’s definitely not quiet, but it’s quieter than other brands we’ve tested. You might need to turn up the volume, but you won’t need closed captioning to catch all of Jared’s cobblestone lines It appears.

  • It does a solid job avoiding carpets in mop mode. He could hit the edge of the mat, sure, but he wouldn’t crawl over it. This makes things a little tricky in rooms with large rugs, as they can’t be easily rolled up to move from room to room.

  • Its custom zones are easy to configure.

  • Its adjustable suction and HEPA filters capture everything from pet hair and goldfish crumbs to ultra-fine dust and dirt. It also has an adjustable suction power depending on the type of floor pressed.

  • There is a 30 day return period. If you are not satisfied, send it back.

  • The pier is quite huge. It had to be to house those bulky water tanks, but at nearly 20 inches long by 19 inches wide by 18 inches high, it’s practically a side table.

  • You need to delete the floor plan and reset the house if you ever move the dock. Otherwise, you’ll only clean the room you’re in and never clean the rest of the house (at least in our experience).

  • We had a hard time getting him to clear areas of his map. Our kitchen, for example, is a step up from the rest of the house, so it was overlooked in the mapping process. With another robotic vacuum/mop, we can simply place the device in the kitchen, turn it on, and then physically put it back on the dock once that space is done. Mop Station Pro appears to be disoriented and quickly searches for its soft, docking sound.

  • It is best for single storey houses. Since the bot only uses one floor plan map, it doesn’t really work if you move it to another floor and try to clean it there (unless you delete the map, move it to another floor and reset it before cleaning each time, which seems like a chore).

bottom line:

If you live in a one-story house or apartment and don’t want to deal with mopping and sweeping, Yeedi Mop Station Pro definitely delivers. It leaves floors sparkling, is easy to use and requires very little effort on your part.
